Expectations:  Students will be expected to come to class on-time and fully prepared for class.  Proper class materials include a writing utensil, their covered textbook and History Binder (3-ring binder), and their homework.  Upon the start of class students will be expected to bring the three keys of success with them.  The three keys of success are: A Positive Attitude, A Willingness to Learn, and Self-Ownership.  The expectation that all students will bring the three keys of success into the classroom will establish and ensure a positive learning environment that is conducive towards student achievement and mastery of grade level material.

Textbook: All students will be issued a blue Holt Social Studies textbook titled “World History”.  Students will be responsible to keep their textbooks covered at all times during the school year. To ensure no or limited damage throughout the school year a brown grocery bag is strongly recommended.  Furthermore, using “Book Socks” as a book cover is not recommended because they have a tendency to ruin the inside binding of the book.  Students will be held accountable at the end of the school year to pay for any lost or damaged textbook(s).

Online Textbook: The Holt Textbook has an online feature available to all students.  Students will be encouraged to use this feature to complete homework and assignments in addition to their Textbook.  You can navigate to the website directly by going to http://my.hrw.com or follow the link from rogalskiblog.blogspot.com.
